Méri Charitonidi
An exceptionally talented jewellery artist, Méri Charitonidi views her journey into the world of designing and jewellery making as a natural way to express herself and share her creativity with the world. Her hobby of making jewellery gradually evolved into a full-fledged brand once she started working with gold. Méri has a background in arts and culture – cinema and the history of ancient civilizations – which influences her designs. It's clear that she has a real passion for her craft and it shows in all her beautiful creations.
Everything, including the name °'HRIAM, has a story behind it!
°'HRIAM is pronounced as [Ιīriam] – the name of designer Méri in reverse. With a silent 'H' which stands for the Greek word Hélios (sun).
Méri believes that jewellery is more than just an accessory — "it's a meaningful and powerful part of self-expression and identity". She describes her design process as intuitive, "letting the materials and forms guide her towards the final product." She’s always amazed by the transformation of the material. Wax sculpting and prototype creation give her great satisfaction and when the casting is ready, "it's always a special joy, every single time!"
