AKIND is a Stockholm-based fine jewellery brand founded in 2019 by Anna Wallander. Designed in Stockholm and handcrafted by skilled artisans across specialist workshops in Spain, Italy, Germany, and Thailand, AKIND creates timeless, minimal jewellery in 100% recycled gold and silver with exclusively lab-grown diamonds and gemstones. The brand sells directly to customers - what it calls honest pricing - avoiding traditional mark-ups to offer exceptional quality at a fair price.

AKIND's aesthetic is rooted in Scandinavian design: timeless, minimal, and considered, created for everyday wear rather than special occasions. Every piece is designed in-house in Stockholm, with clean lines and a quiet confidence that allows the material quality to speak for itself. Lab-grown diamonds are sourced to IF-VS1 clarity and D-F colour — the same standard as the finest mined stones — while lab-grown coloured gemstones bring rich, vivid colour to designs that remain understated in form. The Spanish atelier, a third-generation family workshop, shapes, solders, and polishes every solid gold piece by hand.

Anna Wallander founded AKIND in 2019 with a clear conviction: that fine jewellery could be made differently, without compromise on craft, design, or material integrity. The brand was built around two non-negotiables: recycled metals and lab-grown gemstones - not as a trend position but as a foundational belief that beautiful jewellery should not come at the expense of the planet.

Transparency is central to how AKIND operates: customers are told exactly where their jewellery comes from, what it is made of, and what they are paying for. No new mining, no unclear origins, no unethical intermediaries.

Every metal AKIND uses is 100% recycled, gold, sterling silver, and 18k gold vermeil alike,

sourced from refined existing metals rather than newly mined material. Every diamond and gemstone is lab-grown, chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined stones, grown in controlled laboratories with significantly reduced environmental impact. The brand estimates that its approach avoids over 20 tonnes of mining waste per gold ring compared to conventionally mined alternatives. AKIND acknowledges it is not a 100% sustainable company, but commits to doing better every day — a transparency that is itself a meaningful part of the brand's identity.
