Description

Like Nailas other jewellery, the behind ear pendant is also made of 18 carat gold and is available in white, rose and yellow gold. It consists of 46 diamonds which correspond to 0.22 ct. It is the perfect piece of jewelery if you want to dress up your earrings and create a more festive look, it can be taken off and on as desired and goes with any ear piercing. Personally, Naila often use this piece of jewelry for her Humming earrings, which she think go perfectly with it.

About the collection:

The new jewellery collection, Freedom, is inspired by the idea of creating timeless and meaningful jewellery that transcends trends and seasons. The collection includes the ‘Humming’ piece of jewellery - a delicate little hummingbird that is available in both necklace and stud earrings. They come in several versions: either fully encrusted with diamonds or in a more minimalist version. In addition, Naila, the designer behind them, has contributed two behind-ear designs to Christine Hvelplund's Eternity collection, which allow you to create unique looks by combining them with different stud earrings.

The inspiration for Freedom comes from a longing to create something that symbolises freedom and lightness. The jewellery should not only be beautiful, but also feel special and personal - something that can become part of the wearer's story and follow them for many years. For Naila, it's important that the jewellery has meaning, so the goal is to create something that can be both a statement and a personal reminder of freedom.

Although this collection has been launched under the Christine Hvelplund brand, Naila dreams of starting her own jewellery brand in the future, where she can fully express her passion and create pieces that reflect her own style and values.

The brand story

Christine Hvelplund came to diamonds before she came to design — an unusual origin that gives her work a technical authority most jewellery designers never develop. Trading loose stones at her husband's Copenhagen store gave her an intimate understanding of quality and character that now informs every piece she makes. When she moved from trading into designing, she brought that knowledge with her and built a brand around a single non-negotiable: every piece must contain a diamond. Several designs are named after her three children. Her oldest daughter Naila models many of the campaigns and works within the business. "I think customers really like that it is a personal, loving, family affair," Christine says — and it is visible in every collection she releases.

Christine Hvelplund is a Copenhagen-based fine jewellery brand founded by its namesake designer — a woman who came to jewellery through the diamond trade rather than formal training. For several years, Christine worked alongside her husband at his high-end watch and jewellery store in the centre of Copenhagen, first trading loose diamonds before the pull of design became impossible to resist. Every single piece she has made since contains a diamond — not as decoration, but as the starting point. Christine handpicks every stone personally, and that eye for quality runs through everything the brand makes

Christine Hvelplund works exclusively in solid gold with hand-selected diamonds — the diamond always at the centre, the design always built outward from it. The aesthetic is unmistakably feminine and modern, with a Scandinavian coolness that runs through collections like the Conscious series and the Fairytale collection — the latter born during difficult times, finding flowers and butterflies in unlikely places. "The diamond is always the center of the pieces I create," Christine says. "But it's never the 'classic' diamond piece — it always has a feminine and modern feel." New designs arrive when inspiration strikes rather than on a fixed schedule, giving the collection an organic, personal quality that reflects the designer behind it.
