A unique approach
The brand story
Veronica Varetta founded LIL Milan in 2014 while studying Economics at university - not because she had a jewellery background, but because she needed a project that actually interested her. The business plan she wrote for herself became a real business, and the goldsmith she found in Brera became the start of a design practice that has only deepened since. LIL Milan has always been as much about community as craft: customer feedback is taken seriously, the exchange between brand and buyer is ongoing, and the values of sisterhood and solidarity show up in the work itself. Ten percent of proceeds from the Boobs and Viola pieces go to Cerchi d'Acqua, an anti-violence centre supporting abused women, and DonnexStrada, which supports women who feel they are in danger. The brand also restored a basketball court in Milan with its own hands as part of a neighbourhood revitalisation project.
