Nina Webrink Fine Jewelry's core value is sustainability. The handmade jewelry is made with a deep respect for the environment and the people involved in the process. Nina Webrink's vision is "slow luxury", which Nina, the designer behind the brand, calls a new standard for sustainable luxury.
"Diamonds are a girl's best friend" is a well-known saying. Maybe it's due to the fact that it takes millions of years to develop a real diamond in nature - diamonds are therefore considered the rarest and most precious of all stones. The value of a diamond can be divided into four factors - carat (weight), colour, clarity and cut. The most important factor in getting the optimal sparkle and shine is the cut - this is usually the only factor that is possible to influence by hand.
The diamonds that Nina Webrink uses in their designs are conflict-free diamonds, which means that they come from official and regulated mines. But Nina Webrink also apply lab-grown diamonds.
Lab-grown diamonds are pure carbon diamonds grown under highly controlled laboratory conditions that simulate the earth's natural growth process underground. The results are real diamonds that are physically, chemically and optically identical to naturally extracted diamonds. You can't tell the difference between a flawless natural diamond and a lab-grown diamond, the only difference is that they are man-made and far more sustainable.

Sustainable "Slow luxury"
That Nina Webrink ended up as a jewelry designer and jeweller was not in the cards. As a young woman, Nina practiced elite gymnastics for many years, an interest that inspired Nina when she began her studies as a physiotherapist. Nina's transition to the jewelry profession was therefore gradually formed by a growing interest in mastering a new craft and a need to create something organic and concrete at the same time. The growing interest eventually led her onto a creative path. Nina dropped her physiotherapist studies and followed her dream. After three years at the design school, the Swedish designer studied for four years in Copenhagen, and completed her design education with a degree in gold in 2014.
When Nina talks about her creative design process, she says: “I keep a visual encyclopaedia in my consciousness, based on my experience, background, my passions and experiences. When I design, I open this internal library to find inspiration for my jewelry. As a jeweller, I am driven by the desire to make a difference and the beauty of creating a piece of jewelry that will hold a special value to someone else.”
Nina Webrink has a passion for storytelling and is very fascinated by the sculptural universe hidden in nature. She has a deep respect for the traditional craftsmanship, and creates timeless and functional jewelry with an excellent fit and a distinctive attention and approach to the finest details and unique silhouettes.

About the Designer

Why we love it
Nina Webrink has a holistic mindset when it comes to the design and production of her jewelry. She is one of the few jewelry designers who experiments with laboratory-grown diamonds, which, unlike mine-produced diamonds, are far less environmentally damaging and thus more sustainable.
