Heritage, Craft & Creative Intuition
ABOY is an independent fine jewellery brand founded by Paloma Aboy and produced in Spain. Its origins are rooted in something deeply personal — Paloma grew up watching her grandfather design and construct jewellery in his studio, and it was there that her understanding of the craft was formed. Not just technically, but philosophically. "I strive to carry forward his legacy," she says, "remembering what he taught me — that true mastery lies not just in technical skill, but in the ability to infuse our creations with the very essence of our souls."
That inheritance shapes everything ABOY makes. The brand was built on the conviction that jewellery should be a natural extension of the wearer — effortless, considered, and made for people who appreciate what goes unspoken. New collections arrive approximately every six months, each one an exploration of what the creative process will reveal. "What I like most in the jewellery creation process," Paloma says, "is how the unknown will reveal itself throughout."
Materials, Ethics & Artisanal Production
Every ABOY piece is crafted exclusively in 18k Fairmined gold — a certification that guarantees traceable gold extracted with responsible mining practices that support artisanal and small-scale mining communities. Natural diamonds are sourced to the highest ethical standards, conflict-free and Kimberley Process certified, with all diamonds from 0.30ct accompanied by a GIA certificate. Production is artisanal and intentionally limited, handled by a team of skilled jewellers in Spain who share Paloma's commitment to quality and craft.
The standout piece is the Cosmic Landscape Ring — Paloma's own must-have from the collection, and a strong expression of what ABOY does best: jewellery with presence, made to last and be passed on.
"I grew up watching my grandfather design and construct jewellery in his studio with great passion and a very personal approach to the art of jewellery making."
Values, Responsibility & Modern Relevance
ABOY is jewellery for lovers of imperfect beauty — people who look for pieces with genuine aesthetic and cultural value, and who care about where and how things are made. The brand donates 1% of yearly sales to non-profit organisations aligned with its values. Sustainability here is not a footnote — it is written into every decision, from material sourcing to packaging to the pace of production itself.
That seriousness of purpose is why ABOY belongs in The Jewellery Room. Paloma Aboy set out to build a brand that honours her grandfather's craft and meets the demands of a more conscious world — and she has done exactly that.
