Meet CbyC Jewelry: Built on the belief that jewellery should last
CbyC Jewelry was founded in 2009, and it all started at a market in Barcelona. Founder Cecilia Fällström spotted a necklace that made her stop in her tracks. Back home in Stockholm, she found herself still thinking about it - and she decided to make her own version.
Over the 17 years that have passed since then, Cecilia has built CbyC Jewelry - a jewellery brand with a strong commitment to quality guiding every decision the brand has made since.
Today, Cecilia runs the Stockholm-based brand alongside her daughter Julia, who joined in 2019 and brought new energy and a shared passion for design. Every piece at CbyC is handmade with care - timeless and versatile designs crafted using the same meticulous techniques as fine jewelry, but with materials that make them accessible to a larger audience.
We asked Cecilia about the story behind her brand, what it’s like to run a brand with her daughter, and what comes next.
CbyC began with a broken necklace. Can you tell us that story?
"CbyC Jewelry was born from an idea during a trip to Barcelona in 2009. I was inspired by a necklace I saw while exploring the city. Although I had worked in fashion, I had never made jewelry before. Back in Sweden, I created my own version, and the first pieces sold out quickly in a friend's shop. However, when some of them started breaking, I realised the importance of quality. That moment became the foundation of CbyC: a commitment to well crafted, long lasting jewelry."
What is it like running a brand with your daughter?
"Working together as mother and daughter has its challenges, but it's also incredibly rewarding. We complement each other in a way only family can, and our vision for CbyC is the same: to create jewelry that is made to last and loved every day. It's a privilege to share this journey with her."
How would you describe the design DNA of the brand?
"CbyC Jewelry is rooted in Scandinavian design, clean, understated and wearable, with a confident edge. Our pieces are designed to be lived in and layered over time, rather than worn for a single occasion."

Where does a piece begin for you?
"The balance between design and wearability. Creating pieces that feel effortless but still distinctive, and that customers want to wear every day, is the most rewarding part."
Is there a piece from your own collection you keep coming back to?
"Our Floating Diamond Necklaces. I love wearing them layered — the more the better."
Who do you design for?
"Our customer is style conscious and quality driven, looking for jewelry that feels modern yet lasting. She values understated design with character and prefers building a curated collection over following trends. At the same time, our customer is truly ageless. My daughter and her friends wear our pieces, as does my mother, who is over 80, and everyone in between. That versatility is a big part of who we are."
What does jewellery mean to the person wearing it?
"Our biggest commitment is to create pieces that truly last, both in quality and design. We dream of building a brand that feels timeless yet relevant — one that becomes part of people's everyday lives and meaningful moments."
What's next for the brand?
"We are continuing to expand our collections while also developing a fine jewelry line in solid gold with diamonds. At the same time, we are focusing on growing our international presence and strengthening our relationships with selected retailers."
Cecilia and Julia have built CbyC on a simple belief: that jewellery should last, and be loved every day.
