SHIR Fine Jewelry: Jewelry moving between contrasts

For Shirley Navone, founder of SHIR Fine Jewelry, going into the world of jewelry was never a conscious choice. Growing up in a family of diamond dealers, she was surrounded by gemstones before she could articulate why they fascinated her. With SHIR, she has taken that heritage and built something far from traditional. The aesthetic is dark and mysterious but playful and deeply personal - with shapes and motifs that truly is not like anything we’ve seen before. The pieces are all crafted in Shirley’s hometown of Antwerp, using recycled gold and diamonds.

Shirley Navone grew up in Antwerp surrounded by her family's diamond trade — a world that gave her both a deep technical understanding of stones and the confidence to build something entirely her own. After years in the industry, she founded SHIR with a clear conviction: that jewelry should make you feel something. "You don't choose the stone," she says, "the stone chooses you."

That emotional approach to design, combined with Antwerp craftsmanship and recycled gold, is the foundation everything SHIR makes is built on. The brand's name is her own: a mark of personal ownership over every piece she creates.

SHIR carries serious Antwerp diamond heritage, but the jewelry never tries to look like traditional high jewelry — floating diamonds, thorns and roses, safety pins, locks and keys, hand chains, zodiac signs, numbers and letters, in both natural and lab-grown diamonds. We loved that serious background paired with a bold, slightly cheeky approach: jewelry doesn't have to be so traditional, so serious. The moment I tried on the safety pin design myself, I was sold.
