About Bea Bongiasca

We had followed Bea Bongiasca's candy-coloured universe long before visiting her Milan boutique. Bold, uncompromising, unlike anything already in our Room.

A unique approach

The brand story

Beatrice Bongiasca did not grow up wanting to be a jewelry designer. It was at university, discovering a love of three-dimensional design, that the medium found her — jewelry as mini sculpture for the body. She built Bea Bongiasca to fill a gap she felt personally: as a millennial, she wanted jewelry made with fine techniques in gold and precious stones that did not require spending an unattainable amount of money. When she started, that category barely existed. Traditional stores thought her work was not fine enough; concept fashion stores thought it was too fine. It took time to create the right understanding for what she was doing — but the market caught up, and demi-fine jewelry is now one of the most significant categories in contemporary jewelry. Bea Bongiasca helped build it.

The founders

A house of craft

The inspiration behind Bea Bongiasca, the Milan-based brand known for its’ playful shapes and colours, came to the founder by the same name back when she was at university - through a discovered love of three-dimensional design, and jewelry seen as a tiny sculpture for the body.
And it is on this philosophy that the brand has operated ever since - every piece that Bea designs is like a tiny piece of wearable art in itself. Today, the brand creates colourful, playful jewelry in gold with precious and semi-precious stones — made with fine jewelry techniques at a price point that makes them genuinely accessible.

The design DNA

We had followed Bea Bongiasca's candy-coloured universe long before visiting her Milan boutique. Bold, uncompromising, unlike anything already in our Room.

Bea Bongiasca's aesthetic draws heavily on Eastern visual culture — the careful curation of small details, the harmony of colour and balance that Beatrice has observed travelling through Japan and beyond. It is not a figurative influence but a felt one: present in the colour combinations, the proportions, the sense that every element has been considered. The pieces are bold and cheerful, set with vivid gemstones in compositions that feel playful without being frivolous. Enamel, coloured stones, and gold work together in designs that are immediately recognisable and unlike anything else in the demi-fine market.
