A unique approach
The brand story
Beatrice Bongiasca did not grow up wanting to be a jewelry designer. It was at university, discovering a love of three-dimensional design, that the medium found her — jewelry as mini sculpture for the body. She built Bea Bongiasca to fill a gap she felt personally: as a millennial, she wanted jewelry made with fine techniques in gold and precious stones that did not require spending an unattainable amount of money. When she started, that category barely existed. Traditional stores thought her work was not fine enough; concept fashion stores thought it was too fine. It took time to create the right understanding for what she was doing — but the market caught up, and demi-fine jewelry is now one of the most significant categories in contemporary jewelry. Bea Bongiasca helped build it.
