Coralie Grzes: Coralie Grzes: The designer who ignored the obvious path

There is a particular kind of jewellery designer who arrives at the craft from somewhere unexpected, and whose work is richer for it. Initially trained in industrial design, Spanish goldsmith and designer Coralie discovered the world of artistic jewellery - and has remained in it ever since.
She now runs her namesake brand out of her studio in Barcelona, where she creates contemporary handcrafted pieces in 18k gold and silver, working from her studio where every piece is made to order.

Coralie’s design language is heavily influenced by her background in industrial design, in combination with a love of handcraft. The result is a beautiful mix of delicate, subtle pieces and bold, statement creations, each one thoughtfully designed to be worn alone or layered.

The aesthetic is contemporary and considered, blending traditional goldsmithing techniques with modern technologies such as 3D printing and ancestral techniques like sand casting.

Coralie came to jewellery from studying industrial design in France, as she found herself drawn by a desire to work more directly with materials and to create with her hands.

She studied fine jewellery at the Massana School in Barcelona, where she and her brand are now rooted. From the very beginning, she built the brand around two non-negotiables: exceptional craft and ethical sourcing. Since 2017, Coralie has held a Fairmined licence - a certification that guarantees the responsible origin of precious metals and the ethical practices employed in their extraction. Every piece is made to order, and the brand holds no stock.

"I strongly believe in the timelessness of jewelry — I don't force myself to release collections every season, but generally new designs appear once or twice a year."

Coralie Grzes' graphic, pared-back forms come from an unexpected place — industrial design. It's that exact tension, between industrial precision and the intimacy of jewellery, that makes her work so distinctive. Every piece is made entirely by hand, because for Coralie, craftsmanship is non-negotiable. Her path to jewellery began with a simple pull towards working with her hands on a smaller scale, and led her to train as a jewellery designer in Barcelona. She works exclusively in 18k gold and Fairmined-certified silver.

Since 2017, Coralie Grzes has held a Fairmined licence, certifying the origin of the precious metals used and the ethical practices employed in their extraction — including respect for workers and the environment. All pieces are crafted exclusively in high-quality 18k gold and silver, chosen for their durability and ability to be repaired or melted down. Every piece is made to order, meaning the brand holds no stock and produces no waste from unsold inventory.
