Meet Carolinne B Jewelry: The Swedish designer creating wearable art - who never plays it safe
For Carolinne B, the jewellery industry was never the plan - but when she finally entered, guided by nature and her own creativity, she bright the entire animal kingdom with her. Her world is inhabited by alligators, koi fish, butterflies and wolves - to name a few - each carrying specific symbolism and chosen with attention.
"I love design, and I love nature. Jewellery became the bridge between the two.", says Carolinne herself of her distinctive design language.
She works with recycled materials and upcycled gemstones and diamonds that she sources from auctions - the ethical sourcing is crucial to her because, as she puts it, when working with themes of nature, that side cannot be ignored.
The Stockholm-based designer joined us in conversation, to tell us everything we want to know about her band.
You didn't plan to become a jewellery designer. How did you get here?
"I didn't plan on entering the jewellery industry, but nature and creativity led me here. Jewellery felt like the perfect medium to merge the two."
Where does a piece begin for you?
"The transformation. Starting with a sketch, shaping it with CAD, moulding, casting — and then holding it in my hand as a finished piece. That moment is pure magic."
How would you describe the design DNA of the brand?
"Wearable art with teeth, wings, and claws. My jewellery is bold yet elegant, sculptural but timeless. Each piece is rooted in storytelling, symbolism, and craftsmanship, inspired by animals and the raw poetry of nature."
Every collection has a story behind it. Can you tell us more about that?
"I don't play it safe. My brand embraces strength, edge, and personality. Every collection carries meaning — whether it's Love Bites, Up North, or small icons like bees, ants, and butterflies — there's always a story behind the design."

Why upcycled diamonds and gemstones specifically?
"Sustainability is central. I use recycled silver and gold whenever possible, and I source upcycled diamonds and gemstones from auctions and pre-owned jewellery. For me, working with nature themes means I can't ignore the ethical side. I'd rather reuse and give materials new stories than take from the earth."
You don't follow seasonal trends — some designs from 2014 are still in your shop. Is that a deliberate position?
"I don't follow seasonal trends. Some designs from 2014 are still in my shop today. I prefer thoughtful growth — releasing collections when I feel there's a story to tell."
Is there a piece from your own collection that feels most personal?
"The lioness bangle — because that's where it all began. It's powerful, symbolic, and still one of my most personal pieces."
What does jewellery mean to the person wearing it?
"They often tell me the jewellery feels different, meaningful, and bold. Many of them get stopped by strangers asking about their pieces, which I love — it means the designs really speak."
