Description

The 9 ct recycled gold slim band ring is flush set with a diamond of around 0.11 carat. The Ocean diamond slightly rises above the surface of the ring.

Deborah has collaborated with Cornwall’s Ocean Diamonds, specialists in sustainably sourced marine diamonds, to create this collection of raw diamond jewellery. These diamonds started their journey to the sea billions of years ago, carried by the rivers and eventually settling on the seabed off the coasts of Namibia and South Africa, where they are collected by responsible diamond divers.

"I was completely drawn to these beautifully raw diamonds, with all their natural beauty, this awe-inspiring story of nature. There has been no alteration by human hands, no cutting or polishing: only the most resilient diamonds survive, their brilliant shine and faceted surface has been created entirely by their incredible journey to the sea. The sea has always had a huge influence on my designs, and I hope these wonderful ocean diamonds will connect the wearer to the powerfully healing effect of the sea" Deborah Blyth.

The designs are inspired by where the diamonds were found on the sea bed, nestling in the crevices; The raw ocean diamond is hugged by an organic setting made from recycled 9-carat gold, created by the lost wax casting method. Each piece will vary slightly due to the individual shape of the raw diamond. Each diamond comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Each piece of Ocean diamond jewellery will be made specially for you, so please allow 4 - 5 weeks before delivery.

Deborah Blyth came to jewellery through a love of the arts and a deep connection to nature — two influences that have shaped not just what she makes but how she makes it. Her process is unhurried and place-specific: designed and crafted in North London, with stone setting in Hatton Garden, in a practice that keeps production genuinely local. During lockdown, that same instinct for beauty and craft expanded into a homeware collection — candleholders in molten forms that appear as extensions of the candle's own drip, and small dishes crafted from brass plated in 18k gold, designed to hold anything from condiments to cufflinks. It felt, she says, like a natural progression from jewellery: functional art that brings the same touch of everyday luxury into the spaces we inhabit.

Deborah Blyth is a London-based fine jewellery designer whose work is rooted in the natural world — specifically, in water. From childhood days spent by the sea, Deborah has always found refuge in wild swimming, whether in rivers, seas, or London's ponds, and it is there that many of her ideas are born. Every piece is crafted from start to finish within a small area of North London using the ancient lost-wax casting technique, with stone setting carried out in nearby Hatton Garden. All silver and gold used is 100% recycled, and diamonds, pearls, and gemstones are ethically sourced from a trusted network of small suppliers.

Deborah Blyth's aesthetic is organic and sensory - textured gold, baroque pearls, and semi-precious stones combined with a fluid sensuality that speaks directly to the natural forms that inspire her. Lost-wax casting is central to the process: a technique that allows organic shapes to emerge with an immediacy and imperfection that reflects the natural world rather than imposing order on it. Many pieces are characterised by the interplay between the smooth and the textured, the refined and the raw — jewellery that carries the mark of a maker's hand and the memory of a natural form. The collection moves between delicate everyday pieces and those with a stronger sculptural presence, all finished to the same exacting standard.
