Le Soonar: A private jewellery for everyone

Le Soonar is a fine jewellery brand co-founded by best friends Vidhi Jain and Shivangi Jhalani - both with family roots in the Indian diamond industry, and both determined to use that heritage to build something different. The name Le Soonar means "the jeweller" in Hindi, and that is precisely what the brand sets out to be: a private jeweller, for everyone.
Every piece is designed in Copenhagen and handcrafted by hand in Mumbai, using responsibly sourced, conflict-free diamonds certified to the Kimberley Process. By owning their supply chain and eliminating traditional markups, Le Soonar brings genuinely fine jewellery, solid gold and diamonds, to a price point that makes it an everyday luxury rather than a once-in-a-lifetime purchase.

Le Soonar works in 14k solid gold with certified, conflict-free natural diamonds, responsibly sourced and ethically traded through the brand's own in-house diamond wholesale operation. The aesthetic draws heavily from nature, and particularly from the ocean, which has inspired the majority of the collection. Designs are explored across multiple settings: prong, bezel, channel, to understand how the same piece can take on an entirely different life through a single change.

New collections launch twice a year. The Luna Hoops and the Overlap Ring are among the brand's most loved pieces, and representative of a design language that is both classic and quietly distinctive.

Vidhi and Shivangi both tried to step away from the diamond world, pursuing careers in international development before their entrepreneurial instincts pulled them back. It started with engagement rings made for friends, and a realisation that the market was failing the people they were designing for. Fine jewellery was built around the idea of men gifting women, not women investing in themselves, and it was priced accordingly. Le Soonar was founded to change that. By controlling the supply chain from wholesale diamond sourcing through to finished piece, the brand is able to offer solid gold and diamond jewellery at prices that consistently surprise first-time buyers. Educating customers on exactly how that is possible — through transparent communication about materials, production, and pricing — is central to how Le Soonar operates.

Vidhi and Shivangi, the women behind Le Soonar, came to us knowing exactly what they wanted — a platform with real reach, and integrity they could trust. What they needed was more exposure, and the jewellery speaks for itself: bezel-set diamonds, made in their own goldsmith workshop in India, close enough to the craft to guarantee the quality themselves.

Every Le Soonar diamond is ethically sourced, conflict-free, and certified to the United Nations Kimberley Process. The brand partners with the Mamata Foundation to support education for girls from underprivileged communities -

funding both formative education and vocational training to help young women realise their futures. Le Soonar also runs food drives delivering food and basic necessities to those in need. The brand's commitment to moving gently and intentionally extends from design through production to delivery, with the customer, the earth, and the future of the industry kept in mind at every stage.
