Formes Fine Jewelry: Handcrafting on her own terms

Formés is an independent fine jewellery brand founded in 2020 by Viktorija Kančinian — a second-generation designer from a family that built one of Lithuania's largest jewellery manufacturing and design companies. Every piece is designed and created by Viktorija herself, handcrafted in a family workshop with 30 years of experience in high-end production. Formés launched with a clear material commitment that has never wavered: recycled gold and lab-grown diamonds grown exclusively with green energy, combined with a design vision that is entirely, unmistakably her own.

Formés works in recycled gold set with lab-grown diamonds — stones that are chemically and physically identical to mined diamonds, created with green energy and without the environmental impact of traditional mining. The aesthetic sits in a precise and unusual space: minimalist and maximalist at once, edgy and soft, combining 3D techniques with handcraft, diamond science with soulful storytelling, and unusual forms with unexpected colour combinations.The Becoming collection — centred on the MAMA rings, designs that emerged naturally alongside the birth of her son — and the Tiny Clash collection, which merges minimalist forms with maximalist diamond presence, are the clearest expressions of what the brand does at its best.

Viktorija Kančinian grew up inside one of Lithuania's most significant jewellery businesses — but it took becoming a wife, then a mother, then navigating a pandemic, to find the courage to build something that was truly hers. As CEO and marketing manager of her family's company, she discovered after a decade that the part of the work she loved most was the creation itself. "I discovered myself the happiest and lost in time when developing the products," she says. She left the family business to found Formés in 2020 — channelling her rich manufacturing heritage through her own perspective, on her own terms. The first independent collection took two years to create.

Formés works exclusively with lab-grown diamonds created with green energy and recycled gold — a material commitment that is foundational rather than supplementary. Production takes place in a family workshop with 30 years of experience, where every piece is manufactured individually, responsibly, and locally. The brand also takes a slow, considered approach to production: designs are first tested as visuals online before being manufactured, reducing overproduction and avoiding waste from unwanted pieces. Team members work closely together in conditions the brand describes as fair, challenging, and rewarding.
