The oversized statement earring trend is still going strong for autumn 2026

The oversized statement earring trend is still going strong for autumn 2026

It’s been a year since we first spotted it - oversized statement earrings topped the list of jewellery trends we spotted at Copenhagen Fashion Week in August 2025. But as fashion week wrapped up at the start of this month, and we have digested the looks we spotted on the streets of Copenhagen, Paris, London, New York and Milan this year, one thing is clear: the trend is still going strong into autumn 2026.

Playing with shape and size has for the last few years been a favourite way for fashion insiders to get more creative with their looks, specifically when it comes to jewellery - and while necklaces and bracelets get hidden in layers of knitwear as summer transitions into autumn, statement earrings are for all year around.

This is something we saw proof of at Copenhagen Fashion Week in January 2026 as well - even in the colds, statement earrings work just as well matched with a thick hat and scarf as it does with your favourite sundress in the summer.

The Best Designers for Statement Earrings

At The Jewellery Room, we work with a whole range of independent jewellery designers based across the world - and our selection of statement earrings are truly unmatched.

Carolinne B Jewelry

Carolinne B Jewelry is a Swedish fine jewellery brand founded by Carolinne Barholm — designer, goldsmith, and the maker behind every piece. Since founding the brand, Carolinne has built a distinct creative universe rooted in the natural world, translating animal symbolism and the raw poetry of nature into rings, bangles, and pendants.

Every piece is crafted in silver and gold plating, with upcycled diamonds and gemstones sourced from auctions and pre-owned jewellery. Her unique statement earrings include the Silver Monarch, the Silver Wings, and the Alligator Silver Hoops with Upcycled Garnets. Discover all Carolinne B here.

Ole Lynggaard

Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is a Danish jewellery institution unlike any other. Founded in 1963 by its namesake goldsmith and designer, Ole Lynggaard’s nature-inspired designs have defined a distinctive strand of Danish jewellery craftsmanship for over six decades. Based north of Copenhagen, on the same street where Ole rented his first workshop, the house is now a three generation family business.

For statement earrings, check out the Gipsy Earrings that comes in several versions with different gemstones, the Large Leaves Earrings, or view the full Ole Lynggaard collection here.

Esvi London

Eshvi is a London-based statement jewellery brand founded in 2012 by Natia Chkhartishvili and Tamar Svanidze, both born in Georgia. The name means "fang" in Georgian — a symbol of strength, protection, and a fearless spirit — and that energy runs through every collection the brand has made. Now led by new international ownership, again by women, Eshvi continues to be driven by the founding belief that jewellery should bring joy from the inside out.

For statement earring - which is Eshvi' specialty, check out the Drop Stars in Black, the Handcrafted Silver Earrings, or the Ball Earrings - or view Eshvi's full collection here.

Deborah Blyth

Deborah Blyth is a London-based fine jewellery designer whose work is rooted in the natural world - specifically, in water. From childhood days spent by the sea, Deborah has always found refuge in wild swimming, whether in rivers, seas, or London's ponds, and it is there that many of her ideas are born. Every piece is crafted from start to finish within a small area of North London using the ancient lost-wax casting technique, with stone setting carried out in nearby Hatton Garden. All silver and gold used is 100% recycled, and diamonds, pearls, and gemstones are ethically sourced from a trusted network of small suppliers.

For statement earrings, view the Aphrodite Earrings or the Daphne Earrings, or see Deborah Blyth's full collection here.

Maria Nilsdotter

Maria Nilsdotter founded her brand in Stockholm in 2007 with a clear and unusual creative ambition: to make jewellery that confronts conventional norms, tells stories, and evokes the kind of beauty that transcends generations. The Nordic landscape and mythology she grew up with - their melancholy, their mystery, their extraordinary creatures - became the founding inspiration, and they remain central to every collection the brand produces. The pieces are all in 925 sterling silver and 18k gold with pearls, diamonds, and gemstones, handcrafted by skilled artisans. Based in her hometown of Stockholm, Maria Nilsdotter’s gothic and mystical universe have become a staple of the Swedish jewellery industry.

For statement earrings, see the Empress Earring, the Rain Earring, or the Secret Garden Chandelier Earrings.
