Best friends Vidhi Jain and Shivangi Jhalani share a family tradition with a deep connection to the diamond industry and trade in India. Grounded in the timeless traditions of Indian jewellery and the allure of diamonds and precious gemstones, Le Soonar is a testament to their unbreakable connection with the diamond industry. This journey is a celebration, not only of their heritage but also of their desire to share the beauty of Indian craftsmanship with the world. Vidhi's deep appreciation for beauty, particularly in jewellery, was nurtured by her mother. It's this influence that resonates throughout Le Soonar’s collections, with many pieces paying homage to the timeless classics worn by her mother and other Indian women who shaped her upbringing. Most of the pieces find inspiration from nature, especially the ocean.
Vidhi and Shivangi’s venture is a heartfelt tribute to India's ancient artistry that runs in their veins. Although they tried to step away from their family trade and pursue a career in international development, their entrepreneurial instincts drew them back to follow their passion project—creating engagement rings for friends. In the process, they realised there was a profound absence of affordable options for classic and beautiful jewellery that also reflected the wearer’s individuality. This led to the creation of a fine jewellery brand that prioritized design and quality, and reflects the aesthetic and design sense of the wearer.

Le Soonar was born to create a deeper meaning behind everyday jewellery. Female-founded and inspired by the women who wear them, each piece is responsibly sourced, thoughtfully designed in Copenhagen, and handcrafted in Mumbai.
The idea that launched Le Soonar was to democratise jewellery and make it an everyday luxury. Fair pricing and quality are ingrained in the brand DNA. Jain and Jhalani educate their customers on what luxury and customer service are. The aim is to flip the script on the idea of “gifting” a piece of fine jewellery. People should be able to afford a beautiful piece of fine jewellery without going bankrupt in the process.

Le Soonar partners with the Mamata Foundation which supports education for girls from underprivileged communities. The aim is to bring about change one little girl at a time. The foundation supports the formative education of girls while nurturing their dreams of a bright future and helps them achieve their dreams through vocational education.
