Despite the packed schedule during Copenhagen Fashion Week, there was also time to look at jewellery brands who presented their new collections at The Jewellery Room.
It was remarkably appreciated that many designers drew on nature as a source of inspiration: a tribute to the sea, such as shell-shaped jewellery, seen in earrings from the Danish brand Rebekka Notkin and the Norwegian brand T/Raw, who in their "Seashell Collection " is fully inspired by shells and motifs from the ocean. The young goldsmith Julie Nielsdotter showed another approach to the water element and showed processed organic shaped freshwater pearls in earrings and chains, which were also worn during the fashion week by the models in the Stine Goya show. Last element, the soil element was present in several collections including Dyrberg/Kern, which showed (gingko) leaf-inspired earrings. Dyrberg/Kern
Nature as inspiration must not be confused with a "natural look" because most jewellery showed strong statement character, which states that especially the trend in statement earrings will be preserved also in the next season.
