HOW IT STARTED
Elina ́s interest in jewellery began in her Dad ́s Dentistry, him teaching her how to make small little rings from left over gold. Growing up in Sweden, she noticed more and more she could never find the jewellery she was looking for – which lead her begging her dad for more left over gold and designing her own Jewellery.
3 years ago Elina decided to follow her dreams and passion of Jewellery, quit her Lawyer Job, moved to London, studied Jewellery Design Studies at Central Saint Martins and started Coco ́s Liberty.
Scandi Statement Jewellery to the finest: Feminist & Fierce, Scandi Minimal, London Statement, all the Jewellery pieces are completely handmade.
Coco ́s Liberty has a very pure approach to precious metals. Using only the metal as the medium. The focus lays on clean lines, geometric formations, subtle textures and repeated patterns -> the golden Ratio. Scandi minimal yet the pieces have a fierce feminist empowered Statement Character to them – Coco ́s Liberty Jewellery are pieces of contemporary art that give an outfit that extra touch.
Half Swedish, quarter german quarter French – Elina Bergert has brought together the best of the 3 nationalities. Scandinavian Creativity, German sense of good craftsmanship, French sass: Coco ́s Liberty only works with the best fair trade quality and pure materials: fair trade 925 sterling silver, 18ct. gold vermeil (3 microns of gold plating) and upon request 18ct. fair trade solid gold in their East London Studio.

With our new AW17 Collection we will also be changing our Name from Coco’s Liberty to Phine.
Our new Website phine.london will be launching in September.
Even though I had the registered Trademark for Coco ́s Liberty both Chanel & Liberty the Department Store has sued us (me) for having a too similar Name.
After a back and forth, I feel like I just want to move forward without any negative Ballast or Feelings. and come out stronger than before.
Starting Coco ́s Liberty has been a blast and I want to thank everyone who has been a part of the Success and growth so far and I am sure we will make Phine even stronger together.
Phine for me stands for the Math / Art Nerd Slang for something that is very attractive or good, usually because its dimensions or aspects are closely match the Golden Ratio, approximately 1:1.618…a ratio that has been described as the mathematical Ratio for Beauty.
The Number 1.618…is a mathematical constant known as PHI, therefore things are beautiful (“Fine”) are usually “Phine”
also with my Name Elina – my Family always used to call me Elina – Fina – which eventually led to Fine.
Now with also our Men ́s Collection launching we feel Phine will be off to a new adventure.
