Handpicked by Vogue

27 April 2017 by Eva Lund

In Todd Plummer's latest travel guide for Vogue.com, he has paid Oslo a visit. A city often outshined by Copenhagen and Stockholm in the "Fashion world" and even at times referred to as a "layover city" according to Todd. Akrobaten_Rolf Thoresen_thejewelleryroom But this nickname does not do the Norwegian capital justice. "There is an emphasis on craft, tradition, and authenticity that you won’t find anywhere else in Scandinavia." Todd writes, and we agree. Todd especially highlights Grünerløkka - a neighbourhood that embodies Oslo’s coming-of-age. Hasla Jewellry's boutique is located in Grünerløkka and is handpicked by Todd as the best store to shop Scandinavian jewellery in that area. As Todd puts it "While this jewellery brand definitely has a Scandinavian, pure aesthetic, it is distinctly inspired by Norwegian nature, and is produced in Norway’s Setesdal valley, a region known for rich handicraft traditions." hasla_thejewelleryroom We are proud to represent Hasla in The Jewellery Room. On Tuesday we bring an exclusive interview with Hasla's chief designer here in the Newsroom, so stay tuned and get to know the Norwegian label handpicked på Vogue next week.
